Connecting Our Community to Hope and Healing
The Link was established by the Christopher Bremer Foundation after the tragic loss of Chris Bremer to suicide, with a simple idea – no one in our community should ever feel alone or be unable to find help. What started as one clinic in Bennington has now grown to Bennington and Bellevue, and we’re just getting started. Our vision is to offer free, walk-in mental health support in communities all across Nebraska and beyond.

Our Story
At the heart of our foundation lies a story of love, loss, and a commitment to preventing others from experiencing the same pain we felt. Christopher Bremer, our beloved son, brother, uncle, and friend, left us too soon, just two weeks after celebrating his 30th birthday on July 17, 2020.
Chris’s smile, his don't-quit mentality, and his dedication to family and friends defined him. His love for the Cubs and Da Bears was only surpassed by his devotion to his family.
Born in Omaha, Nebraska, Chris was a funny, loving, and energetic young boy. From his early days playing hockey and baseball, to becoming the proud owner of YESCO Sign & Lighting, His journey was one of hard work and determination.
Chris's passing left a void that words can hardly fill. Yet, in his memory, we've established The Christopher Bremer Foundation with a mission to "Be a link by advocating connectedness and fostering resources for mental health and the prevention of suicide."
Through the foundation, we aim to be the bridge that connects those in need with the support and resources necessary for mental health and suicide prevention. Chris had an extraordinary ability to make everyone feel loved, and we are committed to carrying forward this legacy of love.
Join Us in Being a Link
With your help, we can make a profound difference in the lives of those who need it most. By removing barriers, advocating connectedness, and encouraging others to "Be A Link," you become a vital part of our mission.
Your support allows us to:
Provide Resources: Contribute to initiatives that offer mental health resources and support to those facing challenges.
Raise Awareness: Help us spread the message of connectedness and mental health awareness to prevent the loss of precious lives.
Create Change: Support our efforts to break down the stigma surrounding mental health and create a society where everyone feels valued and understood.
Together, we can honor Chris's memory by building a world where no one feels alone, where love and support are readily available, and where the darkness of mental health struggles can be illuminated by the light of compassion.
As a 501(c)(3) organization, your donations to The Christopher Bremer Foundation are tax-deductible. Ask, and we'll gladly provide a receipt for your taxes. Your contributions keep us going, ensuring we can continue our mission of promoting mental health and preventing suicide.
With heartfelt gratitude,
The Christopher Bremer Foundation
